A dental veneer is designed to cover the surface of your teeth with strong, protective material. The material is made from ultra-thin porcelain and creates a tooth-colored shell. The veneer can then be bonded to your teeth to give you a brilliant new smile.

When you come in for your consultation visit, the dentist will perform an exam to ensure dental veneers will work for you. 

Before we bond the veneers, our dentist removes a thin layer from the front of your teeth to make room for the new dental veneers. Then we create a mold of your teeth.  Once the impression is finished, your porcelain veneers can be custom created just for you.  Bonding involves all the steps that permanently attach the veneer to the tooth. After a cleaning of the tooth, the veneer is bonded to the tooth with a special dental cement. This dental cement is then hardened with a blue curing light.

The ultra-thin, strong material used to create your porcelain veneers do more than just enhance your smile. Your teeth receive extra protection so they don’t crack or chip further. 

The veneers can also close small gaps, making it harder for food to get stuck between your teeth. Veneers can also repair damaged tooth enamel caused by abrasion or erosion.
